The decision for Facial Plastic Surgery

When you choose to have facial plastic surgery, there's nothing more important than partnering with a qualified, skilled, and compassionate surgeon. You probably have many physicians in your community, so making a choice can be tough. You should consider his curriculum vitae, background, updated to new techniques, his certification and his constructible reviews for an easier decision, and thus your facial plastic surgery experience will likely be a positive one. Anyone considering cosmetic surgery should be comfortable with the doctor they choose, and feel that the time spent in their consultation was thorough and informative.

Book your consultation

In order to make your dreams become a reality, you must take the first step, contact us to make an appointment for the consultation. The goal of a cosmetic consultation is primarily to educate the patient about the surgery in question, the process of preparing for surgery, the recovery period involved and to see before and after photos. You will learn about the surgery, its limitations and risks, and discuss your needs and concerns.

The cosmetic consult is an important step in the process of considering cosmetic surgery. We understand more than anyone that a cosmetic consultation can be seen as an intimidating or daunting experience. Because of this, we take special care to ensure that our patients feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible in a professional, yet friendly atmosphere.

Your Consultation appointment

A consultation at Dr. Nabil Fakih takes 1 to 1.5 hours. Upon arrival, you will check in with our front office staff, and fill out all necessary paperwork. This will include a brief health history, which gives our physicians the information they need to determine that you are a good candidate for elective surgery. Next, you will be introduced to our patient care coordinator. She is experienced in beauty, image, personal training and cosmetic surgery. She will personally take you through the consultation process. She is available to answer all your questions, discuss your image enhancement goals and make honest recommendations, show before and after photos of the doctor’s work, and introduce you to the physicians. Then you will meet Dr. Nabil Fakih in a private, comfortable consultation room, where you will learn about the surgery, its limitations and risks, and discuss your needs and concerns. This will help Dr. Nabil Fakih understand your expectations and determine whether they realistically can be achieved. Dr. Nabil Fakih will carefully examine your face to assess the shape and the asymmetries to determine what type of procedure would best maximize your result. Dr. Nabil Fakih measures everything for a correct surgery. After your consultation we will take photographs for your medical record and we will discuss the surgery fees and scheduling dates by the patient coordinator. She will ensure that all of your questions and concerns are answered. You will receive a fee quote that you can take home with you that day. We are available for any follow up questions by phone or even for a 2nd consult to assist you in making your decision. You should come to the consultation prepared to discuss your medical history.  Also provide information about any medical conditions, drug allergies, medical treatments you have received, previous surgeries and medications that you currently take. It is important for you to provide complete information. All our patient are prepared by Dr. Paula Martin-Marfil with the Pre / Post surgical preparation program to enhance a quick recovery.

Fly for Surgery at Fakih Hospital

We understand that it is often inconvenient, time-consuming and expensive for patients to fly to our Fakih Hospital for a consultation then fly back again a few weeks later for surgery. We have designed a program to facilitate your experience that will allow you to determine the options that are available to you with ease and understanding. Here’s how it works:

Make Contact

The first step is to email our patient care consultant and request an application form.

Fill in the Blanks

Fill out our new patient information sheet, and all other pertinent forms and return to our office via email .

Send Photos

Please provide clear, recent close-up photos. Photos should clearly show your area of concern and can be sent by email.

Obtain an Assessment

Our doctors will assess if you are a good candidate for procedures that you are interested in. You will then be contacted by our patient coordinator who will discuss pre-operative care, costs, recovery, local accommodations and any questions related to your procedure(s).

Schedule Your Procedure

In order to reserve your surgery date, a 50% deposit is required. This will ensure that your time is reserved both on Dr. Nabil Fakih schedule and the Fakih Hospital schedule. The remaining balance is due at the pre-op appointment or 4 weeks before surgery, whichever is greater. The deposit is refundable within the first 48 hours. After this time period, a cancellation fee of $3000 will be withheld from your deposit.

Read, Initial, Sign

Shortly after your surgery is scheduled, you will receive a packet in the mail containing pre-operative instructions and procedure consents. These documents must be read carefully and all instructions followed closely. All contents must be signed and initialed. The entire pre-operative packet must be brought with you to your pre-operative office visit.

Airports & Local Accomodations

Our local international airport is Rafic Al Harriri International Airport (Beirut). We are located approximately 50 minutes from the Airport. You Must arrive one to two days prior to your surgery date. At a designated time during this period you will meet with the doctor/s and have an in depth consultation discussing all procedures. For patients flying to Khaizaran (Lebanon) for an appointment or surgery at Fakih Hospital, please make sure that all consent forms are signed, dated and mailed in prior to your pre-operative appointment. For local accomodations, you can contact our office and we can help you choose which suits you best.

Recovery

We advise all patients that fly-in for surgery to spend at least the first night at our Hospital thus ensuring any required medical attention necessary. Patients that are having important surgery are required to stay for at least 1 night. We will be happy to schedule your stay at Serenity. In the days that follow we will see you post-operatively and depending upon the procedures that have been performed you may return home 7-14 days later. In the event that you require any medical attention after returning home we will refer you to a local physician for a check-up. Your health and safety remain our number one priority.
